Because Negritude is like a game of dominoes that ends before the boxes are filled. You tell the studio to make the film the way you want. And if they don’t want it that way then they don’t get to make your film.
But what if your making someone else’s film? What if they’re just handing a script to you that’s been sitting on the shelf? What if you’re a director for hire?
I doubt you’ll be in the position to tell them to make your joint. Hell I doubt that there will even be a meeting where you can scream that over the table. Don’t believe me?

As reported, Tu Pac was shuttled away from John like a half eating steak dinner. Seems he neither owns the right nor weighs heavy on public opinion enough to manage a meeting with studio heads about the film. Lawd knows Suge can’t help him.
